Warren MacKenzie, President and CEOWarren MacKenzie has been providing investment advice to Canadian families since 1987. Prior to forming his own company, he was a senior vice president and financial advisor with two of the country’s largest securities firms. Warren is a passionate advocate for investor education and complete transparency in advisor–client relationships. He has delivered hundreds of investment seminars to corporations and public-sector organizations over his career, and is frequently called on by the print and broadcast media on issues related to personal finances and investor advocacy. A prolific writer on investment strategy and retirement planning, Warren authored ‘The Unbiased Advisor’ and co-authored ‘New Rules of Retirement’, both published by Harper Collins. Warren holds Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Education degrees from Saint Mary’s University in Halifax, Nova Scotia. After earning his Chartered Accountant (CA) designation, he joined a national firm of chartered accountants. During his 12 years in public practice, Warren managed his own accountancy firm and worked as a trustee in bankruptcy. His professional accreditations include Certified Financial Planner (CFP), Certified Investment Management Analyst (CIMA) and Certified Hedge Fund Specialist (CHFS). |

Ken Hawkins, Chief Investment StrategistKen Hawkins is an investment professional with over 25 years’ experience in both private client and institutional investments. Prior to joining Weigh House, Ken was responsible for a $500 million portfolio with the Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan, one of the largest and most respected pension funds in Canada. Ken was also a top-ranked quantitative analyst with Scotia Capital and Deutsche Morgan Grenfell. In these roles, he regularly consulted with many of the largest money managers in Canada, providing equity research, advice and insights into capital markets. Ken was a member of the TSE Index Committee and Scotia Capital’s Investment Strategy Committee, which determined asset mix policy for the firm. As an investment advisor with ScotiaMcleod and Nesbitt Burns, Ken provided investment advice to Canadian families. At Weigh House, he applies the investment principles, strategies and insights utilized by institutional money managers for the benefit of average investors and high net worth families. Originally from Winnipeg, Ken graduated with Bachelor of Science and Master of Business Administration (MBA) degrees from the University of Manitoba. He has completed the Certified Financial Analyst (CFA) level 1 and 2 curriculum, and the Canadian Investment Manager (CIM) program. Ken co-authored ‘New Rules of Retirement’ with Warren MacKenzie. |

Clive Smith, Vice President, Business DevelopmentClive S. Smith leads Weigh House’s service distribution strategies, partnering programs and corporate sales initiatives designed to achieve the company’s revenue growth objectives. A certified actuary and financial planner, Clive has held executive positions in both the insurance and the wealth management industries. Most recently, he was a Vice President at Assante Wealth Management owned by CI Investments. There he led the firm’s insurance and financial services division, and later assumed responsibility for its wealth and estate planning practices. He managed a team of 60 professionals serving high net worth clients across Canada. Previously, Clive was President and CEO of Royal & Sun Alliance Financial, guiding it through various phases of growth. Following the group’s strategic decision to focus on property and casualty insurance worldwide, Clive assisted in the sale of his operation to Maritime Life in 2001. In addition to his management experience, Clive practiced as an actuary for 15 years in three different countries. He is a Fellow of the Canadian Institute of Actuaries (FCIA) and holds the Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation. Clive attended the University of Southhampton in England where he earned a BSc. (honours) in mathematics. |

Michael Coholan, Vice President, Service Development and Investment ResearchMichael Coholan is responsible for service strategy and investment research at the company. Prior to joining Weigh House, Michael was an Investment Advisor with RBC Dominion Securities for 15 years. There he worked one-on-one with clients to address a wide range of wealth management issues. He was one of a limited number of investment advisors to obtain a portfolio manager’s license, enabling him to manage clients’ assets on a discretionary basis. A licensed insurance agent, Michael was qualified to provide estate planning and risk management strategies through the application of life insurance solutions. Michael graduated from Carleton University with a bachelor’s degree in law and sociology, and from Brock University with an honours degree in business administration. He holds a Canadian Investment Management (CIM) designation and the Fellow of the Canadian Securities Institute (FCSI) accreditation, awarded to investment professionals who have met exacting standards for experience and education. An active member of his community, Michael is a past member of the boards of directors for the St. Catharines Golf and Country Club, and the local chapter of the Terry Fox Foundation. He was a director of the Canadian Henley Rowing Corporation and member and past president of the St. Catharines Advertising and Sales Association. |

Ken Bradley, Vice President, OperationsAs Vice President, Operations, Ken Bradley is responsible for client service delivery, back-office operations and internal business systems. Ken brings to Weigh House 15 years’ experience in business process design and large-scale IT systems implementations. Early in his career, he was a business systems analyst, focused on sales and financial process design. Subsequently, he was a consultant and project manager overseeing the implementation of large ERP systems for clients in the U.S., Europe and South America. His international clientele included Novartis Pharmaceuticals and Degussa Chemicals. While his consulting practice provided opportunities to work around the world, Weigh House enables Ken to continue his career closer to home. Born and raised in Milton, Ontario, Ken graduated with honours from McGill University in Montreal with a bachelor’s degree in commerce. He earned a Certified Management Accountant (CMA) designation from the Society of Management Accountants in 1996. |

Enrico Visentini, Vice President, FinanceEnrico Visentini administers Weigh House’s accounting systems, implements financial controls and defines governance policies. Enrico has extensive experience as the senior financial executive in both wealth management and start-up firms. Most recently, he was a financial consultant to several publicly-traded mining companies. Prior to forming his consulting practice, Enrico was the director of custody and fund accounting at IBT Trust Company (Canada), the Chief Financial Officer of Integral Wealth Management Inc., and the Chief Financial Officer of Kingsgate Wealth Management Services Limited. Enrico is a Chartered Accountant (CA) and a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) with a Masters in Business Administration from the Richard Ivey School of Business at the University of Western Ontario. |

Robert Miskimmin, Vice President, MarketingRobert Miskimmin is responsible for marketing strategy and corporate communications for Weigh House. Prior to joining the company, Robert was an independent marketing consultant and principal of Redline Marketing Partners. There he worked with start-up and growth stage companies in the financial services, information technology and manufacturing sectors. Robert was also Vice President of Marketing and Corporate Communications at Kasten Chase Applied Research, a publicly-traded developer of data communications and data security technologies. At Kasten, he helped build a number of industry-leading brands for emerging technology markets. In total, Robert has over twenty years of experience in marketing, business development, sales and product management. Robert is a graduate of the University of Toronto, where he earned a BASc in engineering science. He also completed an MBA at Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario. He is a board member of a not-for-profit childcare centre in Toronto, and has served on the advisory boards of a number of start-up companies. |
