We are looking for business development individuals to provide our services to :

Individuals (Retail Market):

  • High wealth individuals
  • Individuals with more modest investments who understand the importance of investments and have a high interest in growing their portfolio.

Penetrating This Market:

This market can be penetrated in a variety of ways:

  • One-on-one (marketing to certain market segments and demographics)
  • Through your personal networking affiliations
  • Through influencers such as lawyers, accountants
  • Through B2B:
    • Corporations (profit and not for profit)
    • Various associations, unions, affinity groups, partnerships and alliances

Reporting to the Vice President of Business Development, this is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Business Development professional to build from the ground up.

  • Sound business planning and organizational skills to manage multiple sales

Required:

  • University Degree or equivalent required
  • Excellent sales person with successful record of closing sales
  • MBA, CFA, CFP are a plus but not necessary
  • 5 - 10 years plus of successful business development experience
  • In-depth knowledge of investment services, products and trends a plus but not necessary
  • A persuasive communicator with strong presentation skills
  • Computer skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Remuneration – Success Based:

Compensation is success based. We offer an excellent and competitive commission based remuneration structure. Commissions are high allowing those individuals who perform to get compensated substantially.

You may operate as an individual or develop your own sales team. You control your own success.

Duties:

To the Retail Market:
  • General steps include:
    • Finding your market – identify people that need our services
    • Arrange interview(s)
    • Analyze needs
    • Present and sell solution(s)
    • Provide ongoing service which also includes up-selling and cross-selling as the client’s need change
  • Develop and execute a strategic sales plan based on a specific territory
  • Identify and develop associated prospect and sales strategies
  • Aggressively contact prospects with determined effort to sell Weigh House services while preserving the goodwill and a professional image
  • Identify key needs and requirements of prospective clients
  • Perform successful cold calls and lead generation techniques
  • Face-to-face meetings are the basis of a successful sale
  • Develop and present appropriate client presentations
  • Initiate and develop strong relationships with potential and existing clients
  • Provide timely input into data bases, forecasts and other reports as required by management
  • Provide feedback to senior management on programs and services
  • Develop and maintain an in depth knowledge of products and services and their value proposition
  • Maintain a high level of professionalism in all duties
  • Attend as required road shows, forums, industry events, dinners, breakfasts and other organized events; networks with key industry influencers
  • Contribute to a team effort when and where necessary
Additional Duties if targeting the B2B Market:
  • Identify decision makers and buying influencers
  • Develop and present appropriate and in-depth professional presentations where applicable; conduct business presentations at each stage of the sales cycle, including one-on-one meetings and formal sales presentations
  • Co-ordinate multiple resources as needed to drive and close sales opportunities which includes working with management, back office personnel and associated fund managers, investment advisors and other Weigh House associates
  • Use a sales team approach where appropriate.
